3 Structure problem of the 2001 Chrysler LHS

Failure Date: 06/01/2006

Splitting dashboard I noticed that is was a slight slit in the dashboard throughout the summer it started getting bigger, as time went on it has gotten almost half foot long. I paid to have it repaired it cracked again in the same spot, I tried to repair it myself and it didn't look too good so I took it in to have it repaired again and they told me that they were afraid to fix because it was near my airbag and did not won't to be responsible for any damages of the airbag so I left it alone. I am afraid that it may affect the function of my airbag. I would like to have the dashboard replaced but the dealership quoted me over $2000 to have this done and it is not in my budget.

Failure Date: 07/18/2003

Dash is splitting where air bag goes I bought car oct. 1999 I only had 10,200 miles on it, sits in garage when not driven. I feel this is a safety issue will it deploy accidentally on my passenger for no reason or not deploy at all. I felt it's a mfg. Error and it should be replaced. They will for a 250. 00 fee which I don't think is right. They never return your calls . ( auto west Chrysler in roseville, CA. ) I've also talk to there cs in mich. File#11761879. One service mangerroseville said the 1999 Chrysler lsh dash had a problem with this issue -- it's a $35,000 car. I don't think this should happen. I had taken a extended warranty out but I guess it doesn't cover this problem .
