1 Front Suspension Control Arm problem

Failure Date: 06/02/2014

There was a recall from Chrysler made for 2004-2005 Pacificas dealing with the engine cradle. They erouded and rusted through. Thousands upon thousand of cars were recalled. They than revoked it for a 2 month recall span. This problem has been deadly and faital and has affected thousands of familes. Chrysler refuses to fix the warranty that was organically wrote and sent out. They refuse to fix or acknowledge that the problem exist and is deadly for these people who drive the Pacifica as their " family transportation". In the past month my 2005 Pacifica has stalled out, died, had all roaders, breaks and control arms replaced. All new tires and now I find out my engine cradle has rusted out to where's its not drivable. Now the radio stopped working, the air wont turn on if blinkers are all, the entire electrical body has crapped out and Chrysler refuses to fix the problems they set the original recall for. There are thousands of people driving these cars with kids, what will it take for someone to fix this issue? death of thousands of kids? multiple accidents?.

2 Front Suspension Control Arm problem

Failure Date: 02/24/2014

While operating my 2005 Chrysler Pacifica limited edition I heard a loud clunking, popping, sound coming from my front end, which was exacerbated when I turned either left, or right. Also, I have a constant shaking which I feel through my steering wheel, which becomes more pronounced while I am braking. Anytime I drive over any type of bump, pothole, or even just an uneven road surface it clunks. It sometimes makes a clunking sound even when I am operating on an even road surface. As I start pulling away from a stopped position, I often feel, and hear a jerking & lugging, which sounds like the engine is moving around inside the sub frame (engine mounts). I brought the vehicle to a local independent mechanic who informed me that the sub frame was so rotted, that the control arm has pulled off of the sub frame. He also stated that the part of the sub frame that holds the engine in place, is so rotted that the engine could actually break free from the vehicle, and could result in a serious crash. He showed me several holes, where the sub frame has actually rotted completely through, and I am able to see out the other side of the metal. He said that it would cost me thousands of dollars to replace the rotted parts. I am a stage 4 terminal cancer patient, and need my vehicle to travel back & forth, 60+ miles, for the treatments necessary to keep me alive. I am not able to work, and therefore cannot afford to pay the costs required to repair, and/or replace the rotted parts on my vehicle, as well as the damage that the rotted parts have caused to other parts of my auto. I had another mechanic check my vehicle, for a second opinion. He told me that there is no way that this is normal wear, rusting, or rot, for a vehicle that is not even 9 years old. He said exterior body panel rust, or rot could be very possible, but definitely not rot in the sub frame.

3 Front Suspension Control Arm problem

Failure Date: 08/16/2005

The passenger side and driver side lower control arms have both been replaced within one month of each other. Car still shimmies and steering wheel vibrates on speeds over 50 mph. I thought that by replacing the lca's it would resolve this issue, but now I feel less safe in this vehicle, especially on the highway. Called Chrysler, e-mailed Chrysler numerous times regarding this vehicle. Asked that it be replaced under the lemon law or shaken faith doctrine, but as of now, no offer of replacement. Had this vehicle 86 days, and it has been out of service for 26 of them/ 30% plus of the time. Have already filed 3 previous complaints with NHTSA.
