While drive turning left though a traffic light on pilot knob and 160th in farmington my car stalled wheel lock up paddle felt like it had gotten stuck for a second and there in the middle of the intersection my car had completely stalled out with my children in the vehicle to wear I had two trucks pull over that had two stranger men that came over to push me out of the intersection out of danger when pulled off to the side of the road turn the car over and it did turn back on but because of the incident that I just happened I was not taking any chances of having it stalled going through a traffic intersection with my children in the car again so I had it towed home.
Year2006 make/modelchrysler Pacifica mileageabout 99,000 driving for 13+ years; had been getting check engine and abs signs on dashboard now and then for about 6 years; in humid days recurrences were more than in colds. Va inspection, both emission and safety, passed every year, last one being in July 2019, without any issue. Since late July abs sign ceased to appear any more, and check engine light is appearing steadily. In diagnostics p0700, p0732 and p0720 codes were returned. Now a days, when I come to a stop/red light, on full brake, engine makes a jerk, and speedometer reading jumps from 0 to 20 mph. Also, break pedal experiences a push-back, causing tendency to drive forward. Over 30 mph gas pedal demands more compression, and engine motion roaring also surges, no rattling. What kind of risk I am carrying in driving the vehicle, what are my options, cost for remedy and is it worth to invest in fixing the problem(s)?.
Wgen I put the gas pedal no runing like aspec and tge crudle is rust.
Speedometer is reading 30+ miles over the actual speed. Original rims and tires on care no transmission issues.
The drivers seat quit working and all controls on the stearing wheel quit working and could not shut turn signals off.
The auto shop that repaired our car said these problems were not from the accident, we fixed the speed control, now it still saying we are going 50 and were going 30, the sway bar is not from the wreck either, this car has trouble too much air is out too, it's been money, money thank you.
Ive had this car for just over one year. I have replaced 2 motor mounts, 6 months apart. The electric cooling fan motor bearing went bad and you cant replace just the motor, you have to replace both motors, both fans and the shroud ( ridiculous ). My check engine light is on and says fuel cap on dash but I replaced the cap and now as I'm looking on this site I know its probably the gas tank lines cracked. Ive also got the sticky gas pedal, transmission bangs into 2nd randomly. My conclusion after reading about so many problems that many people are having with this vehicle is that there should be recalls. I mean jesus were talking about fire hazards and a sticking accelerator potentially causing an accident. Nothing but problems with this car at such low miles. Never again Chrysler.

When accelerator is released it (sticks in up position / has a catch) making difficult to press. This occurs at all speeds (from a stop to 80 mph). This could be a major hazard when driving in heavy traffic or needing to pull out into heavy traffic. Problem is persistent since purchase mileage 35,000 with current mileage 49,250.

On March 5, 2012 I was required to pay $95. 00 for a full diagnostic to satisfy [xxx] ([xxx] corporate office). The service was rendered by capital Chrysler 200 waterfield ridge place, garner nc 27529. The service rep [xxx] and service manager [xxx] informed me that the catalytic converter replacement looked used due to the rust on it and was causing other mechanical failures in my vehicle but would not confirm this in writing. I do not have an extra $1000. 25 sitting around to pay for a part that Chrysler is well aware of it being defective or used. Chrysler settled a lawsuit in 2005-6 with the u. S. Environmental protection agency for the defective catalytic converter. In closing, as a resolution to this matter I would like all repairs related to this matter replaced at no expense to me by a certified Chrysler dealership of my choosing. . Read more...
