1 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 02/19/2021

After putting in gas in the car it will die as if it is not getting gas and when filling up I have to pump slow because it acts like it is not taking the gas. Its died on several occasions while driving without any warning. In traffic goinf through a light it shut off as if it had no gas. The car then will not turn on the key turns over but sputters. Once I pump on the gas after 3 or more attempts it come on. We have replaced the fuel pump and autozone code gave p0461 fuel level sensor a as the problem. This is dangerous as the car just shutting off while driving and unable to start in traffic or just shutting down on the highway. The oil light comes on as well. Theres a noise like a ticking sound I can hear by the gas tank when I shut off the car. As soon as I left the gas station today I had it in drive about to turn on the street with traffic coming and it shut off and wouls not turn on for about 10 minutes. I was lucky I did not get hit.

2 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 07/22/2017

Its very bad an freaking me and my kids out.

3 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 06/17/2017

Just bought vehicle and driving on the highway with small children when the car surged and abruptly stalled momentarily on a 60 mph hwy. Would only drive in 1at and 2nd gear and had no way to exit off highway. Almost caused a car pile up as the vehicle behind me had to stomp on brakes abruptly. Mechanics are saying transmission. I haven't even had this for a week. It was extremely unsafe and I was terrified as I had 5 little lives in the vehicle at that time.

4 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 12/15/2015

The SUV shuts of while moving. While we are driving (in motion) the SUV will completely shut off and we have to restart it by placing it in neutral and turning the key. We have reported it to Chrysler 3 times and we have spent $900 to fix the problem but it just happened again 2 days after we picked it up from the dealership. All repairs for this SUV were done by the dealership over the life of the SUV. We were told that the SUV has not duplicated the problem while in the dealership while being repaired and they have said that the vehicle was driven over 100 miles by them without shutting off. If this is true, why did it shut off while my family was driving it 2 days after we picked it up. They are not telling the truth. We do not want to take the car back to the dealership for a 4th time for this problem until we find out what can be done. The truck is in great shape besides this problem that is extremely dangerous and scary when it happens. This is a serious safety issue. There have been other incidents of this very problem with Chryslers as well.

5 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 07/03/2015

The vehicle was turning into parking space, acted like the traction control engaged, power steering function was lost. Vehicle was put in park, engine turned off. Restarted at that time. Owner assumed incident resulted from a slip on fresh rain concrete and resulted in traction control engagement due to sensitivity of traction control feature. This is really not necessary at < 10 mph. Second incident: one week later to the day on July 10, 2015, the vehicle rolled to a stop on residential road. The vehicle passed over an insignificant, small pile of dead loosed grass on right side of vehicle during its rolling to a stop mode. Vehicle steering locked up and engine stalled. Owner made numerous attempts to restart but had to wait 10 minutes before vehicle would restart and park it. Dealership has been notified-appointment scheduled to diagnose.

6 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 12/03/2014

Several instances of stalling with absolutely no warning at approximately 40 mph. Car does start back up but stalls at random intervals. Has been seen at multiple shops with no errors, codes or problems found.

7 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 09/15/2014

On September 15th I was taking my son to school when all of my idiot lights came on and stayed on. Once I got back home and turned the car off I noticed that something was still running. After opening the hood I realized it was my abs system that want shutting off. I was able to disconnect the sensor but have been too fearful to drive it since then. My father ran a code checker and nothing was showing up except the fuel cap (which was replaced but still showing that warning light). He drove the car and noticed that the speedometer wasn't working.

8 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 03/03/2014

About a week prior the veh was driving very sluggish and would not resume normal until reaching 50mph, then the next week while driving at about 35mph the veh began shaking very bad forcing me to drop speed to about 15mph. Took it to a mechanic and was told I needed a rear drive shaft and engine mounts and from what I hear this is a common problem with these vehs. Drive shaft is well over $1000. 00 not to mention labor, something needs to be done.

9 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2014

This vehicle tends to stall at or below 35 mph. Have been to independent mechanics and Chrysler and no one can seem to figure out why it stalls. When it stalls there is a loss of control of the car and is very dangerous especially when in rush hour traffic. My wife drives this vehicle along with my 3 children. I have seen numerous complaints on this matter and I am quite surprised there has not been a recall.

12 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 10/18/2011

As I was coming out of a parking lot at a minimum speed about to make a right turn the car suddenly cut off. The steering wheel locked and I was unable to make turn, then as suddenly as it shut off it came back on in mid turn. This has occurred to me several times approx a year after buying this veh in 2010 and on several different occasions, at various speeds but always as I would commit to making a right turn would the steering wheel lock up on me and the car shut down.

Failure Date: 01/07/2008
