Twice now, the vehicle accelerated while on cruise control up to over 95 mph. I applied the brakes which slowed down a little bit, but the engine continued to rev and accelerate when I took my foot off the brake pedal. In both incidents, I had to shut off the car to get it to stop accelerating. There was a lot of traffic at the time, and I had to steer onto the shoulder with no power steering. The 2nd time this happened, I noticed the gas pedal was stuck even when the engine was off and had to be pressed on a couple of times before it would release. I am very concerned that this will happen again and cause a serious accident. I am planning on taking the vehicle in to get this fixed soon. I don't see any recalls and thought I should log a complaint here in case it helps saves other's lives as well.
