When the vehicle was purchased, it was modified with a side entry ramp; however, the automatic sliding door and ramp malfunctioned several times and failed to open. During the recent failure, the door failed to open and fell off. The door fell off twice and was damaged. The manufacturer of the sliding door (braun ability) checked with their chain of command and informed the contact that they would not cover the repairs.
