general problems of the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica

This has been ever since I got my van. Sometime when I drive my lights come on and it goes into limp mode. Most of the time. When I start my van my lights will turn on. I have to turn my car off . Then start again to get my van riding correctly. The other day I was making a u-turn and my engine stalled and I was almost hit by a truck.

1. Brakes give way and cannot stop car until halfway into intersection. Brake is metal to metal. Hear clanking sound………. Also 2. When stepping on brake, car speeds up. I’ve had 2 accidents by rear ending car in front of me. This has happened 4-5 times this past year.

The vehicle jerked, stopped and would not start again. After a while it started, people were honking to move. This happened about 3 years ago. The vehicle jerks often and afraid it will leave us on the street. About 2 years ago, the auxiliary battery ran down the main battery. The car would not start. Had to buy both batteries. The lights come on, engine, traction and auxiliary battery light. This happens often on a weekly basis.

The vehicle has stalled as trying to continue after a stop at a light or stop sign. It will not travel except at 10 miles per hour or less while trying to cross the intersection. Other drivers are impatient and start honking. This has also happened while going down a busy street . It jerks when you start to go after stopping. Happened in July 2023 -- 2x August 2023 -- 2x September 2023 -- 2x.

Vehicle has continually shifted roughly, but beginning last year it stalled while coming to a stop. We replaced the battery and removed the auxillary battery that controls the automatic start/stop and had no issues for almost a year. Approximately a week ago, the vehicle began to stall again when coming to a stop, and giving a message stating to "service shifter. " it has happened multiple times since. There was a lawsuit for this model regarding the crankshaft position sensor, but we are only reimbursed if we have paid for repairs. Can you help?.

While driving down the road, my vehicle stated that it was not in park out of no where, and I was driving 35 -40 miles per hour. No doors were open, it was me and my twin boys age 2 in car seats. It then decided to stop in the road. The vehicle shut off. I turned on my hazards and had to try to restart my vehicle. Almost getting in an accident. Got it restarted and pulled it over. I was terrified. This was the second time this has happened except the first time was a month prior and I was driving up to a red light, depressed the brake (start stop was deactivated prior by me) and once I stopped the car just shut off and didnt want to restart, car was placed in park. After about a minute I got it to restart, again I pulled over. The radio will turn off and restart every 3 minutes, with nothing connected. It is like this car has all of a sudden become possesed. I have replaced both the battery and aux battery.

On Dec 5th, as I was driving downhill on hwy 54 in peachtree city, GA, the van jerked, made a beeping noise, and the dash lit up. The van had completely shut off. It said "service charging system" and "shift to park". I was able to get the van off the roadway and into a parking lot by coasting. Despite turning it off, it kept turning back on with the ac on full blast. It finally stopped turning back on after I opened the driver door and left it open. It restarted and my husband drove it home. I called Chrysler when I got home. They said to call the local dealership to get recall fixed and have them look at the engine. I called the dealership first thing the next morning. He said the first available appointment would be Dec 28th. They no longer have a loaner program so I had to contact Chrysler cares back regarding rental. I sent them a message asking about a rental. They recommended I try to find an appt at another dealership. They also stated they couldn't speak to if it was safe to drive the van until seen at the dealership. On Friday Dec 9, I had to use the van. It stalled 5 times. I was able to get it off the roadway and restarted immediately. I contacted Chrysler again to request they contact the dealer to try to get me in sooner and they need to provide me a rental. This is a huge safety concern, and this is an issue that has been impacting their vans for a long time now. We love the van, but so disappointed that it is failing us and doesn't even have 50k miles on it! their customer service is terrible. They are aware of these issues!!!.

Steering wheel buttons began no working. Lights on steering wheel flicker when steering wheel turns. Randomly alerted that "adaptive cruise control is unavailable" both when the system is in use and when it is off. Forward collision warning system active breaking not working.

The electrical system for the Chrysler Pacificas are dangerous. Beyond the other dangerous recalls, my horn and cruise control no long work intermittently. I learned this while trying to warn a driver that was cutting into my lane without seeing my vehicle and I couldn’t warn them that they were about to hit me. Also cruise control stops randomly. This all started after previous recall repairs. Since I am unable to use my horn in an emergency, I am nervous that my airbag no longer functions. This is a common issue reported online. This all started after previous recall repairs.

Vehicle accelerator jammed while slowly backing vehicle (rear end first) into home garage at around 12:15 p. M. On December 17, 2019. Vehicle and passengers were thrown back into the garage wall at a high speed causing vehicle and property damage. On form below, I estimated 1 mph, but it may have been less as I was slowly backing vehicle into home garage.
