Failure Date: 04/08/2005

Concerns regarding the padding on head rest part of the baby trend car seat. Per NHTSA an infant car seat should be installed at a 45 degree angle. The car seat the consumer had has one inch head padding attached tot he top portion of the seat that causes a greater than 45 degree angle for the infant's head. The consumer is concerned that this angle could cause airway obstruction. The harness adjustment system caused the infants head to be improperly positioned (baby trend model# cs11k7889c000919).
