I noticed that my tire was getting flat at my aunt townhouse in nephi utah. So I took it to the maverick gas station to get a better look at it and investigate the possibility of a leak in it put some air in it and then enough to make it rise and I leaned in close to listen to see if I can hear a leak and I could hear a sound, but I couldn’t locate it and right when I was about to give up and actually move my head away from my tire. My tire exploded, giving me a major concussion to the point where two ambulance services were called. The police were called. I ended up going to the er that night because I could not remember how to spell my name what day it was and where I was at exactly aka the hospital.

The contact owns a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica equipped with kumho solus tire size: 235/65r17, dot number: 275ayay1. On three separate occasions while driving at various speeds, the contact's steering wheel would shake without warning as one of his tires would become defective. The contact had initially taken the vehicle to a dealer where they replaced the rear passenger side tire due to an internal band failure. The second time, the same failure occurred with the rear driver side tire as an independent mechanic replaced that tire. Soon after the second replacement, the front passenger side tire also experienced that same failure. The contact then decided to replace all four tires. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. All tires were replaced. Each tire that failed were original tires. The tire and vehicle failure mileage was approximately 30,000.

The contact owns a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that six months after purchasing the vehicle, the vehicle experienced a tire blowout and upon looking for the spare tire kit, he became aware that there was no spare tire kit inside the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to a nearby gas station where the tire was replaced. The contact contacted an unknown dealer and inquired about the spare tire kit. The dealer attempted to order the part unsuccessfully and later informed the contact that the part had been discontinued. The contact stated that he had contacted several other dealers in the USA and canada and was informed that the part was no longer available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they could not assist and that the NHTSA could require them to install the spare tire kit inside the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 800.
Bought 4 michelin latitude tour hp tires in oct 2011 for our 2004 Chrysler Pacifica awd. The car came with michelin tires without any problems. So we wanted the same type tire for replacements. Tire id # b9h2xkwx1910-----1 tire dot # b9h2xkwx1911-----2 tires # b9h2wkwx2211----1 tire size 235/65zr17 part # 33809 55,000 mile warranty tires were rotated every 3,000 miles after the July 2013 tire rotation the tires began a woop woop sound at all speeds. Sound very noticeable. Tires again rotated and rebalanced(with no change) 2 months later and they still have this sound. Have had the car back to the tire dealer several times for more rotations and balancing( no change needed) with out any resolution to the problem. Tires are still on the car with only11,000 miles on the tires since purchase.

Vehicle occasionally stalls when making a left turn. A popping sound occurs when turning to the left, the sound seems to be coming from the left tire hub. Also there is a clicking sound when the transmission shifts gears. Please send me any information regarding recalls for these problems,as I am a single mother who transports small children daily in this vehicle, with limited resources.

Drove over a stick, approximately 1. 5" in diameter, the stick went through the tread of the tire, their was no cutting action from the stick nor was it sharp. The stick protruded approximately 7" into the tire. The stick was also extremely dried out and cracking. Upon inspection of inner tire wall, it appears as if the rubber just spread apart. Full set was purchased 07/02/2009 (mileage: 35270) and failed on 04/29/2010 (mileage: 54923). Brand name is not listed, brand: definity, line: dakota h/t.

I was driving on the leroy selman expressway through the sunpass lane at about 25-30 miles per hour when I heard a bang and my tire went flat. Something caused a slash in the tire and put a softball size hole in my metal rim. I don't know what happened but it ruined both the tire and rim.

My michelin energy plus lx4 tires have been losing air pressure at an extreme rate. We must put air in them at least once a week. Took the car (2005 Chrysler Pacifica) to the only local michelin dealer. When we explained the problem, without even looking at the tire, technician said he already knew the problem- that it is very common. Michelin tires react with aluminum rims (which my Pacifica has) and cause oxidation. He said it doesn't matter where you live- that this is a common problem. To fix the problem, them put a new sealant between the tires and the rims- cost of approx. $80. He could not tell me if and/or when this would happen again. The local Chrysler dealership seems to never have heard of this problem. My Pacifica was taken into the dealership for an oil change and inspection 1 1/2 weeks after the tires were "re-sealed" by the michelin dealer. At that time, the tire pressure was checked and set to correct pressure (not sure if they were low at the time) as stated on my receipt. 1 week later, all tires are down at least 8 psi- 2 are down 12 psi.
We have visited the Chrysler dealership and different auto shops such as pep boys several times. They have checked the tires for leaks. Each place we visited would tell us that the tires were fine, they would then fill them up and we would go another day or two and then would have to fill the tires up again. Finally a tire store manager at wal-mart found the problem: the tires: michelin pilot hxmxm4 p235-55r19 are too small for the 19ã‚쳜 rims that they are mounted on. He showed us that they do not completely fill the rim, and this causes the tires to loose pressure if the road is uneven or if there are bumps in the road. He showed us the difference with tires on other cars. He explained that the same model tires from firestone do fill up the rim completely and so no air leaks when you encounter bumps in the road or uneven roads. He explains that this problem will continue to occur unless the tires are changed. Furthermore he explained that this poses a serious threat to our safety as we travel. I need this issue to be resolved to my satisfaction. These are some of the most expensive tires on the market and the car has 28,000 miles on it. I expect the tires that come with the car to last the duration of their life without providing these types of problems. I trust my wife and children to the safety of this car and am distraught by knowing that the tires pose this type of safety threat. These tires need to be replaced at the earliest possible date. As a Chrysler /michelin customer I donã‚t agree that we should pay for something that is not our fault. Please advise which dealer we can take the car to get these tires replaced at no cost at your earliest convenience. In the event I am not contacted with 48 hours I will contact department of transportation safety as well as highway safety and request a full investigation. Furthermore I am prepared to contact any safety group to bring attention to this matter.
