Air Bag On-off Switch problems of the 2008 Chrysler Pt Cruiser

Tl- the contact owns a 2008 Chrysler Pt Cruiser. The contact stated that while traveling approximately 45 mph, another vehicle at a high rate of speed switched lanes and crashed into the drivers side of the vehicle and the impact caused the driver to crash into a tree. The air bags did not deploy. The contact stated that the windows shattered, the front and front passenger side doors were jammed from the crash and the driver had to be removed from the vehicle by the fire department. The passenger seated in the rear was able to exit the vehicle. The driver sustained head injuries, back pains and the child passenger sustained whip lash and minor bruises. Both the driver and the passenger received further medical attention. The vehicle was destroyed and towed by the insurance company for further diagnosis and the air bags were not diagnosed to determine the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure.
