Engine Head Gasket Leaking problems of the 1997 Chrysler Sebring

Two problems related to engine head gasket leaking have been reported for the 1997 Chrysler Sebring. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Engine Head Gasket Leaking problem

Failure Date: 09/23/2003

While driving at approximately 45 mph, noticed smoke coming from the rear of vehicle. Pulled vehicle over to side of road and checked under the hood. Head gaskets were leaking oil from the engine. Drove vehicle to dealership, and mechanic confirmed what problem was. Had not had head gaskets repaired.

2 Engine Head Gasket Leaking problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2002

Consumer states that there is an oil leak on the vehicle when the consumer is driving and when the consumer is at a complete stop. Contacted dealer and the dealer told the consumer that it is a possible head gasket leak. Nlm.
