Two problems related to front suspension upper ball joint have been reported for the 1997 Chrysler Sebring. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While pulling inside the parking lot vehicle collaspsed to the ground. Driver noticed that right side collasped,but the left side was normal. Driver had the vehicle towed to the residence, and then contacted a mechanic. The mechanic determined that the right upper ball joints needed to be replaced due to corrosion.
While driving down town inside steering wheel was squaeking really badly, mechanic said front left ball joint has gone bad. Took vehicle to dealer, and dealer was very rude and could not help.
