Two problems related to power steering pump have been reported for the 1999 Chrysler Sebring. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
1999 Chrysler Sebring. Car was caught on fire due to power steering leak. The consumer also had a fuel pump issue. The repair shop stated the connections had burned at the fuel pump.
While in motion the power steering pump failed, nearly causing consumer to have an accident. After installation of the pump, it would only steer to one side. Mechanic informed consumer the power steering rack and pinion was also broken.
