Underhood Wiring problems of the 1999 Chrysler Sebring

One problem related to underhood wiring has been reported for the 1999 Chrysler Sebring. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Underhood Wiring problem

Failure Date: 10/03/2001

Vehicle has been in the shop 4 times since bought six months ago. First: housing holding electric motor comes loose allowing fan to tear radiator. Second, sensor light comes on. Third; ais motor fails while vehicle travelling 60 mph. Motor controls idle speed while deaccelerating. Failure cause computer to kill all power to vehicle. Vehicle lost power steering, power brakes, and all electrical including lights and swerved into oncoming traffic at night. Fourth: speedometer will not work and vehicle will not shift gears. Through out ownership, there has been black tar dripping out of doors, dealer has addressed this problem 3 times only to have it reoccur.
