Conventional Parking Brake problems of the 2000 Chrysler Sebring

Two problems related to conventional parking brake have been reported for the 2000 Chrysler Sebring. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Conventional Parking Brake problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2001

While braking, a squeaky noise comes from left rear, dealer contacted, replaced rear parking shoes and rotors, consumer still have a problem parking on a hill, would have to pull the emergency brake very hard to get it to hold. Consumer also stated that convertable top is noisy when coming uo to close.

2 Conventional Parking Brake problem

While traveling at 15 mph and without indication brakes locked up, causing the wheels to make loud noise. Also, dealer noticed that parking brake malfuncationed and repaired it. However, problem did return. Please provide further information.
