Two problems related to fuel pump have been reported for the 2000 Chrysler Sebring. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Fuel pump shorted out. After the fuel pump was removed from the gas tank, it was noticed that the wire harness was melted at the wire connector inside the tank. There was also some exposed wires on the outside of the fuel pump at that same wire connector. No work has ever been performed in this area.
Fuel pump stopped functioning at 19,881.
