Three problems related to roof and pillar have been reported for the 2000 Chrysler Sebring. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer stated that he is having problems with his convertible top on his vehicle. He stated that it kept on rattling. Also, it has been happening since vehicle was purchased in September of 2000. He stated that the top has been repaired and replace 4 times, and now it is in need of a repair or replacement again. He also states that his dealer told him that they will not repair his top again, because it is nothing they can do about the rattling noise or anyway they can prevent the material from coming apart. He also said they told him that by doing his roof again, that they cannot make any money.
Consumer states that boot has 2 pieces of velcro that easily blows off at highway speeds. Consumer advised boot covers convertible top when open.
While traveling 55-65mph on freeway with top down part of the device that houses hard top fell off into street, resulting in debris flying onto on coming and proceeding trafic. Consumer contacted dealer prior to this for same problem. Please provide furthur details.
