Two problems related to steering rack and pinion have been reported for the 2000 Chrysler Sebring. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The bolts that hold the front end frame on keep coming loose and I only know this when I start feeling and hearing a rattling sound while driving. I have had them tighten once but it is happening again. I wanted to know if there is a recall on this so that they do not come loose. I do not want to have an accident when something comes loose.
Could not turn left, only right. Diagnosed with broken gear in rack & pinion. Entire rack & pinion needed to be replaced.
