general problems of the 2001 Chrysler Sebring

Dashboard cluster lights work intermitently and other electrical problems. Talked to a auto electric specialist who told me this is a known problem and has had several customers with same problem. The dealership must repair the problem because they are the only ones with the equipment to fix it and the dealers are charging over $1,500 to fix. With so many people having the same problem it seems like it should be on the recall list. It certainly is a safety problem.
