Two problems related to paint have been reported for the 2001 Chrysler Sebring. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The paint all over my car is fading and cracked and it is only 6 years old. I have saw other cars exactly like mine that have the same problem. I have not done anything to cause the paint to do this and I believe there is something wrong with top coat the manufacture put on.
This complaint is regarding the paint and clear coat use on the 2001 Chrysler Sebring. The car was purchased brand new from a Chrysler dealer. About 3 yrs after the car was purchased the clear coat and paint started to chip away, this has been getting progressively worse over the past few years. The result is that the trunk, roof and hood of this vehicle have no clear coat, and it is now starting to chip away on the doors and quarter panels. This problem has been brought to the attention of the Chrysler dealership numerous times, they keep referring us to the corporate office. We have contacted the corporate office a few times, they say they will get back to us, and they never do. Routine vehicle maintenance was done on this vehicle. What else can we do?.
