Two problems related to front seat heater/cooler have been reported for the 2002 Chrysler Sebring. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The front passenger seat heater caught on fire and brunt a hole through the seat and through a pillow that was laying on the seat. The seat heater was accidentally engaged because of the location of engage button. The fire occurred due to an electrical failure in the seat heater system. Dealership is only recovering the seat.
Consumer states seat heater is working only when vehicle is running, not when is idle. Dealer has inspected three times and could not duplicate or correct the problem.
