| Headlight Concealment Device problems |
Headlights and brake lights turn off. Dealer states that the multi-function switch is defective and needs replacing. Google search has several similar complaints in forums by other Chrysler owners. A few stating that they flash on an off while they are driving at night. The dealer tapped the part for me and they turn on. . . Tap again. . . They turn off. The dealer charges 300 to replace this part. Are they replacing it with another part that will go defective or have they fixed the root cause of the problem. This is a huge safety issue. Our headlights should be reliable. . .
While driving on the interstate at 70 mph headlight and the fog light went out without warning. Consumer pulled off the interstate. Consumer had to follow another motorist to a hotel because she couldn't see to travel.
Plastic covering over front headlamp housing has gotten fogged over entire outside. The amount of light thrown by the headlamps is reduced. I notice this on most cars as they get older. This is a safety related issue and needs to be addressed. Cleaning products sold by auto parts stores to clear this situation are worthless.
