Consumer owned 2005 touring Chrysler Mini van. She took vehicle to dealer for an 18000 mile routine service, vehicle had 17000 miles on it. Dealer informed consumer that front brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced. Dealer told consumer that vehicle was not safe to drive. The repair was done on July 19, 2005. Consumer got the impression that even the dealer did not wan to do anything for it, that the brake wear was not normal, and since this van was heavier than other vans she felt that manufacturer may not have taken into account the weight of the vehicle. Maybe the brakes should be heavier duty.
