Fuse 8 under hood, 20a fuse. Chrysler has a couple of branch circuits downstream of this and collectively an increased load condition causes an overload on startup only. Instant burn fuse cant cope. The problem is design, there are 4 circuits fed downstream on that fuse, if the collected load builds some resistance it will exceed the capacity of the fuse. I am currently changing the fuse daily just to start my car and go. And sometimes have to change it again before leaving my destination. I did some research online by resulting to google and there are countless other people with this same problem. I was told not to put a larger fuse in there for it may catch fire because of not allowing the fuse to blow when it needs to blow. It seems to be a problem with Chrysler set up and to be not actually anything broken with my car. What do I do?.
I was driving I came to the red light all of a sudden I hear this ding as if my seat belt was not on and the radio goes completely out. I try turning it back on and nothing. I get to my destination and get out of the car and press the door lock on the remote control and nothing happens. I press the trunk release in the car and on the remote control and still nothing happens. I get out of the car, so I press the door lock on the remote control and car and still nothing, I had to press the single door lock to lock the doors. I get home and change out the fuse that is located in the car by the driver’s door, I remove both fuses and they both are still good. But I still replace them and it did not fix the problem.
On my 05 Chrysler town and country head lights sometimes wont come on, the parking lights will, I have to turn them on and off a couple of times, and on just the other night was driving down the highway and they turned themselves off while it was dark and about had a wreck, so I would think this is dangerous and needs a recall, and while im on here about 4 months ago I was replacing the brakes on the same van, and while hand torquing the wheel lug nuts by hand I had 11 wheel studs just twist off, and was done by hand, no air tool was used in this, I have changed many brakes on cars and never have I had and wheel studs just twist off by hand. With these 2 things I sacred to drive it now, with my 2 kids.
