There were 7 recalls on my make, year, model vehicle. Three of which were brakes, air bags, and the tpms tire monitoring system. Other body parts, doors and hood releases had recalls along with hvac/air conditioning systems. Radiator/fan motor failures. Doors flying open during transit. The abs control module could cause the brakes to lock-up during braking. Shorts from unused connectors for the computer/tpms system/brakes and air bags have been causing many unpredictable breakdowns. Some predictable, from past records, state recorded instances from 180,963 vehicles that just failure of the tpms monitor system has already caused engine no start, dead battery, inoperable cruise control, remote start system, engine stalling which could cause a "crash without warning". . I was going park under my carport and the car would not stop, I kept pressing the brakes down as hard as I could but the car kept moving until I pulled the emergency brake almost went into my house. Another incident where I was crossing the thruway and the car stalled in the middle of the intersection with cars coming, close to getting hit by multiple cars, other incidents where the car kills while under the red light, have to restart it.
Purchased 2007 Sebring base model one month ago. Had dealership complete all recalls before purchase. Tail lights attached to the upper portion of the truck flooded/filled with water anytime there was rain and when you open the trunk it dumps the water on your head. All 3 break light seals were replaced and plugs removed to allow better drainage - issue resolved. Emergency break light intermittently illuminates while driving - emerg break is off and new breaks installed issue still unresolved. Delayed auto off headlights did not shut off. Returned to vehicle 2 hours later with daytime running lights still on and since they are automatic there is no way to turn them off. After cycling the engine they shut off, but now fail to come on at all. In the base model there is no feature to turn them "on" or "off" - issue unresolved. The vehicle also refuses to change the setting to turn the "auto unlock" feature "on" when vehicle is put in park. This feature also refuses to work on "first unlock" on the key fob. The doors just continue to stay locked - issue unresolved. I hope mine does not start shutting off on me like so many other complaints.
