Engine is stalling once car is cranked. When pressing the brakes to put car in reverse or drive, the car cuts off. Once able to get into drive and try to drive, the car's brakes can not be touched or the car will stop instantly. The car also does stop and go driving like it's pulling on something heavy.
The instrument panel light that illuminates the speedometer and other gauges works randomly. Airabag warrning light illuminates and the warning bell sounds at random times. Engine stalls when stopping and starting in wet weather.
As I approached a stop light and had to stop, the engine stalled, and I had to restart it from the ignition. It happened on three other occasions (once in a left turn at a stop sign). The steering problem is progressively aggravating to the point of loosing power assist when I make a left turn, and occasionally a right turn, also. It started as a small inconvenience, but at this point, if I am not very careful when I make a left turn, the car would go strait instead of turning.
First two complaints have been recalled and serviced. Said recalls were for # 1 engine stalling and # 2 driver airbag under seat sensor illuminating on and off on dash. Even after the service was performed for the recalls, I still have engine stalling during stops and on deceleration the vehicle threatens to stall. I need to keep giving gas and on humid days that is indicative of possible rain the threat is more often. The second recall complaint that I am still experiencing is the air bag illuminator on dash for the drivers side goes on and off and the wires under the drivers seat are involved when driver seat moves front or back. Stalling is a safety issue that can cause personal injury or death to occupants in this car or nearby cars sharing the road. Also the air bag sensor problem keeps me in fear that the airbag will not deploy when necessary or will deploy accidentally on its own while the vehicle is in motion. I also have a complaint that the car when braking for a stop continued to rev causing me to use the emergency break and I had to shut off the car to stop the car totally. I have noticed that this issue is common with other peoples complaint and an inquiry would seem imminent for safety reasons. The dealership knowing the recalls have not secured the proper handling of my vehicle's safety wants to charge a diagnostic fee or a service fee when it is clear that the proper service was not rendered causing recall malfunctions to this date. For the two complaints that have recalls that I am inquiring about need to be addressed to the dealership ASAP for service and I would appreciate the outcome of this complaint in writing. As for the accelerator problem I would like to be kept abreast if a safety issue is mandated for the repair of that complaint. Thank you.
