My tps light has been on for quite some time and after a short time since the first time it appeared my issue worsens everyday. My car stalls, not only when I am stopped at a light, but even when I am driving at high speeds and the check engine light stays on all the time and blinks and dings at times and now the airbag light is on as well and blinks and dings all the time while the car is started. I took the car to get check for error codes, but none come up when the diagnostics is ran.

Backing out of my driveway the engines suddenly shut down but restarted without an issue. Later that day the red warning light came on and the engine started to have no power and then staled I was able to move to the side of the road and saw the throttle position sensor light was on (witch I looked up in owner manual. Was able to get it started again and drove it to my mechanic who tested it and said I needed a throttle body. T hat was replaced now 4 days later I was on a hov lane doing 65 light came on engine sputtered but didn't stall arrived at destination when I got back in car light was out and car started. Driving home I had to pull over several times when light was illuminated . My concern is driving at highway speeds especially where I live there are long tunnels I travel through hopefully it doesn't do this to anyone driving through them and anywhere that would definitely cause a serious accident , the initial repair to replace throttle body was $271 and an additional $88 for same issue now throttle pedal needs replaced cost at this time unknown.
Maybe something with the fuel. While car is stopped, it will suddenly jump. If I didn't have my foot on brake the car would take off. The engine speeds up without me stepping on the gas pedal. The car suddenly stalls and shuts off at a stop sign or traffic light. This has happened many times. Over the last year and a half. I don't understand about pictures. There are no pictures.

Driving down a slight hill at 35mph using no throttle, the car stalled. No lights, no alarms. Realized it stalled when I had no power steering for corner. No power steering. No power brakes. Muscled car to stop safely, but if my 16yo daughter had been driving. . . . Very scary. Car has stalled once while idling at a stop and stuttered like it was going to stall at a red light twice since the initial stalling incident.

My 2008 Sebring had the electronic throttle control light come on. When this happened the vehicle immediately reduced itself to 2000 rpms. I could not accelerate beyond that threshold. If the vehicle came to a stop it would stall out completely. I have read several similar reports of this issue including it causing involuntary acceleration.
While driving my car stalled and suddenly, without warning cut off! needless to say, this is very dangerous. I immediately took my car to dealer and was charged over $500 for tune-up, oil change, and diagnostic check. Engine light came back on within one week. I cannot afford the costly repairs when mechanics cannot diagnose the issue. However, more importantly, I cannot afford to be hurt in a car accident. Back to the mechanics spending $146. 00 for oxygen sensor ~ engine light back on within one week! car stalling and idol is extremely high ~ car cutoffs continues. . . . Emissions test time ~ failed! now told need new power control monitor. According to the mechanic " codes are being shown for no reason".
The car sometimes stalls. On several occassions, mostly during or after it rains, it will just cut off. It cuts off at stop lights and while I'm driving. There are no indications on the dashboard before it cuts off. It always starts back up after each incident.
When I am driving and it is raining or has rained or if the car is wet there is an issue with the car skipping/ stalling out when you accelerate. This only occurs when the car is wet. It has cut completely off at an intersections before. This usually happens with speeds less than 40 mph or you can hear and feel it pulling/ when driving at higher speeds. I thought it was the spark plugs going bad and had them replaced that they did not fix the problem. This is dangerous because you are not able to determine when it will stall out/skip. I have taken it to the dealership on numerous occasions and they could not determine what the problem could be. Or state no problem found. This has gone one for two years.
Without warning at time my car will stall at a stop ie sign or traffic signal other time it will be stopped at a light & without warning the rpm will spike to over 2k rpm & neary caused an accident several time. There is no know reason for this in relation to temp, humidity etc or how long its been driven. Can it be that the flex fuel system is getting confused by the alcohol in the fuel?? also experience at time when filling gas tank it spits back & causes an overflow of fuel on side of car & ground??no matter how slow or fast its put in. All this has started in the last 5k miles please find a fix before it becomes a accident. Thanks.
