Equipment problem #1

The contact owns a 2009 Chrysler Sebring. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled without warning. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the fuel pump was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The local dealer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in the NHTSA campaign number: 09v047000 (fuel system, other). The contact indicated that the vehicle had experienced the same failure listed in the recall. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 80,000.

Equipment problem #2

The engine light came on I took it to the local repair shop to be checked they could not find anything and reset the light. A few days later the light came back on and the car stalled in the middle of the hiway. I was able to get it back to the repair shop where they are working to find the issue at this time. They have changed the spark plugs and a sensor because that's what the reader said to do but the car is still dying and has reduced speed.

Equipment problem #3

Ignition does not stay in position. It can move to acc or on position when car is started. Since it can be freely movable if the car is involved in an accident chances are the air bags may not deploy if key ignition not kept in on position. I called local dealer since this particular model is not on recall then I would have to pay to have it fixed. Other models from Chrysler are already on recall and this model needs to be added to it for the consumers.
