general problems of the 2010 Chrysler Sebring

Tl- the contact owns a 2010 Chrysler Sebring. The contact stated that while making a turn, the vehicle shut off. The check-engine light illuminated. The vehicle was put in park and restarted. The dealer was not called. The manufacturer was not called. The failure recurred but was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 300,000. Fe.

The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who replaced the electronic throttle body, alternator and sensor however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to another independent mechanic and diagnosed with a low voltage failure, and a defective engine control module which needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. An unknown dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 95,000. The VIN was not provided.

Etc light comes on and vehicle will not accelerate it happens when I start the vehicle when I drive it happens constantly I took vehicle to Chrysler dealership and was told it wa the throttle body paid 800 dollars still have the etc and same issue happening. This is a libility and accident waiting to happen it is unsafe to drive a vehicle and have it lose acceleration why driving up hill or highway.

The electronic throttle light comes on and the rpm decreases then engine stalls. Several times I was able to restart engine and it has now completely failed. I see numerous reports of this issue online but no specific repair for this defect.

My car's electronic throttle control light comes on when I am in motion. The etc turns off when the car is cut off and restarted. I feel unsafe driving the expressway being that I drive for a living.

Vehicle shifts hard from drive to any gear, does not matter if it is taking off or stopping while hot or cold, while on highway at 50+ van will have a few seconds delay with accelerating to a higher speed, while on cruise control at 65 miles per hour when going up hill cruise will kick in and push the speed to 70+ from 60 mph,.

Since I purchased this car in 2013 the front end makes a lot of popping creaking noises in the front end (not the engine). The local Dodge Chrysler dealer in naples FL. Could not figure it out. My local mechanic, whom I trusted for 18 years found that the wheel bearing int he front passenger side is faulty and this affects the brakes too. He replaced the front bearing (inner and outer bearings, cups, and repack). He removed and replaced both front end wheel speed abs sensors. My cost approx $500.

When the consumer picked the vehicle up, from the dealer, the noise was still there. The consumer returned to the dealer, and according to their diagnosis, the vehicle needed a new steering column. When the consumer picked the vehicle up again, the noise was still present. The technician informed the consumer, the noise was coming from the rack and pinion again, and there was no remedy. Later in the evening, the vehicle began making another noise, and was taken back to the dealer, where they determined the left front axle and wheel bearing needed to be replaced.
