Two problems related to cruise control have been reported for the 1997 Chrysler Town & Country. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When driving with cruise control engaged, cruise control will deactivate by itself and without warning, drastically reducing vehicle's speed.
The throttle had stuck wide open. Had cruise control at 73mph. Started to brake to release cruise control, but it did not release. Took off exit & put in neutral & applied brakes. Vehicle still going. Shifted into park & vehicle finally stopped. Took to dealer & manufacturer buying vehicle back.
