Headlights problems of the 1999 Chrysler Town & Country

Five problems related to headlights have been reported for the 1999 Chrysler Town & Country. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Headlights problem

Failure Date: 09/13/2005

The left headlight lens has grown dull (the same thing happened to my 1996 Dodge minivan) and therefore doesn't work as well as it should. They know there is a problem as they offered to shine it up for 50. 00.

2 Headlights problem

Failure Date: 11/12/2004

The plastic lens cover failed on the driver 's side and passenger side headlights. This caused poor visibility for the driver. Consumer drove vehicle to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that the headlight assemblies needed to be replaced. Consumer paid for parts and labor.

3 Headlights problem

Failure Date: 08/10/2004

Driver's side headlights produced moisture inside the lens. As a result, headlights dimmed and impaired the driver's vision at night.

4 Headlights problem

Failure Date: 05/08/2004

The headlight lens of the Chrysler Town & Country van becomes clouded after about two years. This reduces the amount of light that is cast on to the roadway at night and greatly reducing the driver's ability to see the road ahead. This is an extremely dangerous condition and can only be remedied by replacement of headlight assembly unit. At a cost of $400+.

5 Headlights problem

The plastic headlight lenses are foggy, causing the headlights to look dim. This results in poor visibility at night. The consumer requested that Chrysler replace the headlights.
