Three problems related to automatic transmission park/neutral start switch have been reported for the 2001 Chrysler Town & Country. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The gear shift allows the driver to position the car between park and reverse. My wife reached into the car to pull out the keys, she touched the shift lever and it popped into reverse. She was dragged down our driveway and run over.
While driving between 50-70 mph vehicle slipped from drive into neutral. No sound, no prior warning. This happened again on 3 Aug 2001.
While driving at highway speeds transmission switches from drive to neutral without warning. This has happened twice. Dealer has not seen vehicle.
