The contact owns a 2001 Chrysler town and country. The contact stated that there were two leaks within the fuel system. When the contact refueled the vehicle to capacity, the fuel gauge would only read that the tank was half full. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who stated that the egr system exhibited a large leak and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle could not pass state inspection with the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 129,000.
