One problem related to tailgate latch has been reported for the 2002 Chrysler Town & Country. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Tailgate will open while driving, automatic system will close tailgate, but intermittently will not latch it. No ajar warning light. The latch pre-engaged before the tailgate was closed preventing it from closing. Dealer re-programmed the tailgate and the problem appears to be corrected.
