1 Gasoline Fuel System problem

The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler town and country. The contact stated that after refueling, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who replaced the charcoal canister and the fuel cap. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 44,783.

2 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 01/02/2012

Just purchased a Chrysler 2005 town and country with 71,834 miles. Every time you fill up with gas the car dies as you exit gas station.

3 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 04/28/2011

After refueling, my 2005 Chrysler town and country loses power momentarily or dies completely. The problem happens only after refueling and (so far) only once. Usually the problem occurs about a minute or two after leaving the pump, typically as I am about to pull out into traffic. The problem has occurred every time I refill for the last 4 refuelings of the vehicle. This is a very dangerous problem. The vehicle has 48,000 miles on it.

4 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 02/04/2011

Upon filling up with gasoline, especially when filling up completely, the engine will cut out several times while driving. It can happen from 1/10 of a mile, up to 5 or 6 miles on the tripometer. The problem started occurring when the vehicle reached about 75,000 miles and is continuing to do it at about 76,400 miles. Makes for a very dangerous and unpredictable driving scenario either in or out of traffic or when making turns (yes, it has stalled several times while in a turn, fortunately, I was prepared). Since Chrysler is aware of it and it is not an inexpensive repair, it should be the responsibility of the company. It certainly will be if I get into an accident because of it.

5 Gasoline Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 08/10/2009

Everytime I fill my 2005 Chrysler Town & Country with gas. As soon you leave start to move car shuts off. Then you have to put car in park restart hold gas pedal down until some gas is used up. After about five min. The car is fine & never happens again until fill up.
