Two problems related to electrical jack have been reported for the 2006 Chrysler Town & Country. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The spare tire carriers do not release the tire. This can be dangerous on the highway when trying to change a tire. The cable releases but the tire stays up. You have to lay on the ground get your legs under the car while it is jacked up and with try to kick the tire loose. Very dangerous! we have a fleet of Dodge / Chrysler Mini vans most have experienced the issue. When we were notified of the Toyota campaign I immediately thought why Chrysler has not done anything about this potentially dangerous situation.
Stopped to inflate tires. As I started to remove the left rear tire cap it the stem blew out in my hand. I changed the tire but the additional weight blew out the second stem this time on the left front tire. I shot into the curb. By the time I got it up on the jack the right front tire stem blew and the right rear started to lose air. I had to replace 2 sensors. The right rear had been replaced already.
