Interior Lighting Related Problems of the 2007 Chrysler Town & Country

Interior Lighting problem

Both driver & passenger interior overhead light bulbs (come on when doors are opened or when activated by depressing light cover) melted their plastic retaining sockets and burned the electrical contacts. The pass side bulb shattered but was retained by the cover. Both lights are inoperative and a replacement bulb can't be inserted since the sockets are now deformed and the electrical contacts have been burned through. The fuse protecting that circuit did not blow and is still functioning.
