Body problems of the 2007 Chrysler Town & Country

Eight problems related to body have been reported for the 2007 Chrysler Town & Country. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Body problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2017

Power sliding passenger doors stop working due to wires inside wire harness breaking. Splicing the wires back together is only a temp. Fix additionally rust has developed at the bottom of the sliding doors. Additionally, I am not able to lock the passenger sliding door on the passenger side.

2 Body problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2015

Tl-the contact owns a 2007 Chrysler town and country. The contact stated that while driving at 25 mph, the contact noticed a burning rubber odor. Upon further inspection, the contact noticed that the sub frame on the rear passenger side over the muffler had melted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 62,000. Oo.

3 Body problem

Failure Date: 10/12/2014

I purchased vehicle from a Chrysler dealer in mobile, al in November 2014,did,nt really use the a/c until March 2015 and then there was a water build up on floor, I cleaned out drain tub but it still leaked water onto floor.

4 Body problem

Failure Date: 03/27/2014

The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler town and country. The contact stated that while driving approximately 50 mph, the passenger side sliding door suddenly unlocked and slid open. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 92,000. The VIN was not available.

5 Body problem

Failure Date: 05/13/2012

The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler town and country. The contact stated that the rear hatch failed and dropped downward onto himself. The contact suffered minor injuries during the failure. The contact was informed by the manufacturer that there were no known issues involving the rear hatch. The vehicle had not been inspected. The failure and current mileages were 40,000.

6 Body problem

Failure Date: 09/13/2011

Our van was sitting in our driveway on a day that was cooling from 69f to about 50f at 7pm. We had just gotten back from a drive to the store. The rear hatchback window exploded spontaneously, leaving a 1 foot x 6 inch hole on the passenger side and a 6 inch roundish hole on the drivers side. Both holes were a little lower than the middle, top to bottom. The window was completely shattered in small pieces, top to bottom, and the slightest shake caused pieces to fall off and the holes got bigger.

7 Body problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2011

The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler town and country. The contact stated that the passenger's side sliding door failed to open intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the lock was replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The failure mileage was 150,000.
