The contact stated that the vehicle was smoking excessively after being re-fueled, the air conditioner failed to function, and the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The dealer (wheels of chicago, 6229 n western Ave, chicago, IL 60659, (773) 262-7500) indicated that the vehicle was not covered by a recall and diagnostic testing was needed to determine the cause of the failure. The dealer had not diagnosed the vehicle. An independent mechanic inspected the vehicle and stated that it was unsafe to drive, and advised the contact to take the vehicle to the dealer and notify the manufacturer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was waiting on a solution to repair the vehicle. The VIN and failure mileage were not available.
