My car was working fine before the the incident that I had was in the family dollar I was as doing some shopping when I was done I went to my car I put the key in the ignition on and I turn the car there was no sound or any power so I call the towing company to take the car to my house when I reach my house and call a friend that he is a mechanic to check on my car and he told me that the battery of the car was drain so I took the battery out and took it to closes autozone hwy 27 haines city FL I took my old battery to the autozone but the new battery was going to cost me round 230 dollars I had no other choice that to buy it then I went back home my friend the mechanic put the new battery in drove the car to the same autozone the same day to do a quick check up on the alternator so they did the check up and the alternator was going bad also so I bought a new alternator that cost me 170 dollars having this problem with almost a brand new car it got me upset I never went to the dealer to complain so 2 weeks pass coming out from my house I turn the ignition and the car didn't wanna start so I ask one of my neighbors to do a quick battery jump when so I took my car to the autozone since I have warranty on the 2 items they have me new alternator and battery again I took it to the mechanic and more money to spend also the mechanic told me that it might have some electrical issues inside the car so the mechanic replace again the alternator and battery now the car is running good for now a week pass and leaving home went into my car try to start my car and it took a while to start it sound it like a choke it took me almost 5 times before the car starts so I took the car to the mechanic and the mechanic told me that the fuel pump is going bad and it needed to be replace I spend almost 400 for 2 things now I got to spend more money for a fuel pump this is nonsense.
This car is need camshafts, gaskets and valve arms in both side plus more the car only has 64,000 I put only 18,000 in 2 years keep the car up to date with oil change been complaining since day one that something is wrong with the car had a diagnostic by one Chrysler dealer paid by the private dealer I bought the car from and cut not find anything wrong with it after a year of it the car need camshafts, valve arms in both sides and gaskets for a cost of 1,100. One of the parts was under guarantee by Chrysler like the left side but not the right side.
This is my 7th Chrysler or Dodge minivan - and I love them. I searched for 6 months to find the model/color/features I wanted before finding this particular vehicle. I was thrilled that it had all the options I wanted - highest on my list is the 'blind spot sensors' as I do a lot of highway driving with kids in the car on busy michigan highways. A few weeks ago the sensors would 'stick' on, but after restarting the van it they would work properly for a while, and then 'stick' on again. Now they are always on - making an extremely expensive safety feature option useless as I have had to turn them off to stop the constant chiming and for the sensor lights in my side-view mirrors to be off. I have looked all over the internet and apparently this is an extremely common issue. Where can I get serious safety this issue fixed? as it is apparently some design flaw I do not believe *I* should be responsible for paying for these repairs and if it cannot be fixed I should be reimbursed the sticker cost of this feature as it cannot be used!.
My wife was driving the vehicle at night on a two-lane highway when all of the lights went out and she could not see the road. She was able to get the van stopped in the roadway as there was no other traffic at the time. When she opened the door to see of the dome light would come on, the lights came back on and she was able to get back home. Had there been more traffic, it would have been a much more dangerous situation.
Chrysler town and country would not start. I put the key in the ignition, turned it on, the van would not start however windows would roll down and radio would play. Replaced the battery and issue remained. Would stop to get gas a d when. I got back in the van it would not start. This happened several times. One minute it ran just fine and next thing you know it wouldn't start. Leaving me stranded with my 3 kids numerous times. Took it to a dealership and had to pay to replace the tipm. Now there are issues with the rear ac. It works when it wants to. Some days it works just fine and other days it doesnt. It is currently in the shop to have this issue resolved. I have videos of exactly what happened at the gas stations when we were stranded. The video shows my husband putting the key in and the car not starting.
I would like to file a complaint and have a inquiry opened about a Chrysler and faulty safety device blind spot detection system on one of their vehicles that fails repeatedly time and time again but doesn't have a company recall. I have a active case open with Chrysler and have tried to get them to review this safety feature that fails without notice on perfect mint conditions vehicles Chrysler town and country minivans. There a very numerous cases of this that has a price tag that is extremely expensive for the part in the car. Two 3" x 3" plastic boxes are over $1100 each and will not work if one fails so both have to be replaced at the same time causing a $2200-$3000 expenditure are very limited mileage on the vehicle.
Headlamps are extreamly high off road when on high beam. Chrysler tells me there is no fix it is a single unit system and in order to lower the high beams they also will lower low beams. When they adj high beams I lose my low beams and they are so low I have no night vision on low beam they stop about 35 feet in front of the vehicle and go no farther due to them being adjusted extreamly low. I can not drive the vehicle at night time. The dealer agrees with me that the headlamps are out of adjustment and that they have had 5/6 new cars owner complain about the headlamps but there is nothing they can do about it. They advised me the headlamps are hight and at five feets from the vehical they they test 12" high so at 100 feet they are in the trees. . . . . The vehical is unsafe to drive at night I have been told there is nothing that can be done. I have had this vehicle to two dealerships for a total of 3 times and the headlamps are still unsafe at this time.
