The contact also stated that the reverse system did not alert when a vehicle was approaching on the left or right. The contact also stated that the diamond square icon on the exterior mirrors associated with the blind spot monitoring system failed to illuminate and make a warning sound. 3 Blind Spot Detection problem

Failure Date: 01/11/2018

Tl the contact owns a 2014 Chrysler town and country. While driving unknown speeds, the headlights, turn signals, and instrument cluster failed to work. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (blevins bros, 5914 state hwy 812 ogdensburg, NY 13669) where it was diagnosed that there was a shortage in the driver's door wiring. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the blind spot detectors needed to be replaced. 4 Blind Spot Detection problem

Failure Date: 02/29/2016

The contact owns a 2014 Chrysler town and country. The contact stated that the vehicle's blind side sensor located on both the passenger and driver side mirrors failed to properly notify the driver. Also, the instrument panel failed to chime and the light sensor system failed to alert the driver when something was in the vehicle's blind sight. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who stated that because the body repair shop previously repaired the vehicle, they should provide this repair as well. The vehicle was not repaired. The insurance company stated that only original equipment could be used for repairs on the vehicle. The dealer was informed that the parts for the repair were original parts. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The VIN was invalid. The failure mileage was 29,929.
