I have a safety problem with my car we purchased 2 months ago this is the second time it has happened and it should be repaired with a recall. The ignition switch on my 2015 Chrysler Town & Country VIN 3 2c4rc1bg3fr609290 works perfectly until you shut off the engine, then it allows you to remove the key easily in any gear, this allows the car to roll which has happened to me twice when distracted and the selector did not get to park. The first time was at night and when I put my foot out it felt like I was on ice, I did react by stepping on the brake and did not hit anything. I took it to enterprise car sales where I purchased it and they had the mechanic check it out, he said the ignition switch was dirty which repaired the problem until a few days ago. It happened in the daylight this week again and I could feel it and see it because I was on a greater incline & could see what was happening. In both of these instances there was no warning that the car was not in park. This is defiantly a safety problem that should be repaired, as the first time if I had not raised my foot fast enough I could have been pulled from the car by the door & possibly run over, as it was rolling backwards in the pitch dark night.
While driving on s city street, all the digital displays (including radio, speedometer, vehicle info, etc. ) went black without warning. All analog instruments continued to work. Even after stopping and subsequently turning vehicle on and off, digital displays would not light. As we entered dealership, all digital displays returned. Earlier push button ignition switch needed to be pushed a number of times before it activated.
