Suddenly and without warning, my transmission failed. No warning noises, no check engine light. I was on a country road with my 7 year old son in the car and no help for miles. Had we been on a highway, we may have been in an accident. The vehicle was in motion when I heard a whining/ winding sound. The engine revved high and wouldn't move forward. I pulled over to the shoulder, turned my vehicle off, turned it back on and the same thing happened. I called a tow truck to get my vehicle to a repair shop where I was told that the computer is showing an error code for the transmission.
My wife was driving home on the highway, when the transmission started making a whining noise and would barely move, so I changed the filter and fluid, helped for about 500 miles, then did it again, so I replaced the filter and fluid again, and same thing, started doing it again around 500 miles.
Vehicle is only 3 years old and started making a constant clicking noise that would speed up with the speed of the car in addition to that the rpm shoots up butvehicle struggles to speed up, took it in to get looked at, the engine and transmission are going out and is going to cost more to fix than the car is worth. Also the air bag in the passenger head rest exploded earlier in the year while the vehicle was moving and was not in an accident, and the back passenger door will mechanically open but not shut. This vehicle has had an excessive amount of problems for only being 3 years old.
