Radio/tape Cd Player problem #1

The radio has not worked since 2005. We have taken it to a shop and they said there was a recall for 2001 Chrysler Voyagers dealing with the radio. We called Chrysler to see when we could bring it in and get it fixed. They informed us that our VIN number was not covered.

Air Conditioner problem #2

2001 Chrysler Voyager developed problems with the air conditioner. While the consumer was on a long cross country trip the a/c began to make strange noises. The noises continued until the consumer turned off the a/c. The consumer had to drive in 115 degree heat with no a/c. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who determined that the compressor had malfunctioned and damaged other parts in the engine.

Equipment problem #3

The horn and cruise control stopped working and the airbag light came on. It would not pass inspection. It happend while in motion and stationary. They said that the clock spring was broken and needed to be replaced. There is a recall on the 1996-1998 models for the broken clockspring but not the 2001. I see lots of comments that this is an issue beyond those model years included in the recall. They need to extend the recall beyond 1998 since this is an issue with more than those 2 years!.
