The hood latch failed to hold when we hit a deer that ran onto i95. Front airbags deployed; the windshield broke as did the radiator. No one was hurt but when the hood latch failed to hold, the hood flew up towards the front windshield, totally obscured vision. This made it very dangerous to get out of the travel lane and into the breakdown lane. Fortunately, we were in the right lane and there was minimal traffic early on a Saturday morning but we feel this car would be much safer if the latch held in this accident.
