On August 15, 2012 general motors (gm) announced a regional recall action (12v-406) involving model year (my) 2006-2007 Chevrolet trailblazer, GMC envoy, Buick rainier, isuzu ascender and my2005-2007 SAAB 9-7x vehicles originally sold or currently registered in the salt belt states of connecticut,

2 Fuel system defect investigations of Buick Rainier vehicles
This investigation was opened on Apr. 25, 2011. It was closed on Sep. 23, 2011. The office of defects investigations (odi) analyzed complaint data provided by general motors (gm) as well as complaints submitted to odi from consumers. In total, there were 5,089 unique reports indicating an inaccurate fuel level reading while driving.

3 Fuel system defect investigations of Buick Rainier vehicles
This investigation was opened on Jan. 7, 2010. It was closed on May. 23, 2011. The office of defects investigation has received 668 complaints alleging inaccurate fuel gauge reading while driving in model year 2005-07 Chevrolet trailblazer, GMC envoy, Buick rainier, and SAAB 9-7x vehicles. Of the 668 complaints, 58 incidents were alleged to result in a vehicle stall.

5 Brake lights defect investigations of Buick Rainier vehicles
This investigation was opened on Aug. 3, 2004. It was closed on Nov. 4, 2004. This investigation resulted in a vehicle safety recall.
Gm states that some brake/tail lamp bulbs can prematurely become inoperative due to malfunctioning brake/tail lamp sockets. On March 2, 2004, gm initiated a 6-year/72,000 mile "special policy" for 989,487 subject vehicles to inspect and replace the rear brake/tail lamp bulb socket assemblies.
