This investigation resulted in
a vehicle safety recall. In January 2004, Nissan received reports of power sliding doors coming open while driving. Nissan determined that at temperatures below 40 degree f, an out-of-spec door actuator could bind and prevent the door latches from fully engaging. This can lead to the door coming open unexpectedly. Nissan and Ford found that the original equipment headlight stainless steel bulb terminals may over time cause elevated contact resistance and overheat the electrical connector housing. This can result in a headlight flickering, bulb outage and heat deformation to the headlight connector.

a vehicle safety recall. Periodic exposure to liquid gasoline may result in extraction of antidegradants from the subject fuel tank vent hose. Hoses which have suffered loss of antidegradant can develop cracks in areas of high strain. Fuel may spray or drip from cracked vent hoses following tank fill.
