Recall Summary:
Vehicle description: heavy duty trucks. A heat shield between an abs (anti lock brake system) modulating valve and a muffler was omitted.
How to Fix:
Dealers will install a heat shield between the abs modulating valve and the muffler.

Freightliner recall no. Fl-249. Owner notification began may 15, 2000. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact freightliner at 1-800-547-0712.
