Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. The automatic transmission anti-shift lock electromagnet must engage into a hole in the balancer in order to prevent the gear lever from moving out of the park position unless the brake pedal is depressed. If the balancer and the electromagnet do not line up exactly, the engagement will not take place.

Dealers will install a new style anti-shift lock balancer.

Owner notification began March 30, 2000. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Ferrari at 1-201-816-2651.
