Recall Summary:Vehicle description: light duty pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles equipped with vacuum power, 4-wheel disc brakes. These vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of fmvss no. 105, "hydraulic brake systems. " these vehicles were built with a kinked brake booster vacuum supply hose.
How to Fix:Dealers will re-route the brake booster vacuum supply hose.
Recall Notes:Owner notification began September 22, 2000. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Chevrolet at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC at 1-800-462-8782.
